Jason graduated from RMIT University in 2014 with First Class Honours in his Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) degree. With a strong aptitude for thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer, Jason was awarded the Australian Postgraduate Award to complete a PhD, also at RMIT University. During this time, Jason conducted research into two-phase heat transfer devices used in thermal management systems. He presented his research at conferences around the world and published several journal papers. Upon completing his PhD, he worked at RMIT University as a research assistant and often collaborated with industry on multi-disciplinary research projects.
After collaborating with industry for many years, Jason joined Conflux Technology in 2022 as a Thermal Engineer as a member of the calculations and simulations team. In this role, he creates designs for additively manufactured heat exchangers to meet customer requirements. This involves everything from first principle calculations, all the way to CFD simulations on Conflux’s in-house high performance computing cluster. He works closely with the design and additive manufacturing teams to ensure successful project outcomes. He additionally performs research and development work into additively manufactured two-phase heat transfer devices, a continuation of his PhD research.
"Joining Conflux Technology has been exciting. Every day we're presented with new opportunities and challenges brought to us by customers all over the globe. It's great being part of a world-class team and tackling whatever comes our way as we innovate with our additively manufactured thermal solutions. "
