Australian Synchotron

ANSTO leverages great science to deliver big outcomes.

ANSTO is the home of Australia’s most significant landmark and national infrastructure for research. Thousands of scientists from industry and academia benefit from gaining access to state-of-the-art instruments every year. Conflux’s relationship with ANSTO allows us to bring these benefits to our customers by ensuring the best minds and most advanced tools are brought to bear on their most challenging technical problems.

The ANSTO’s Australian Synchrotron is a major research facility located in Melbourne. Conflux use its beam line to perform ultra-high resolution X-Ray scanning on our AM heat exchange structures (links to a section in Services/what we do). We use this data to quantify porosity, identify critical defects, measure surface roughness and inform AM process parameter changes to optimise performance and production efficiency.

It is a unique combination of expertise with Conflux’s AM heat exchanger engineering and ANSTO’s world-class analysis instruments. This alliance demonstrates how Conflux strives for Excellence in solving our customers critical problems.
